Bryce Harper of the Philadelphia Phillies Joins Exclusive Club in National League Record Books

Philadelphia Phillies superstar Bryce Harper has been one of the best players in the National League for more than a decade, and it shows in the record books.

The Philadelphia Phillies fell to the Los Angeles Angels on Wednesday by a score of 10-8 but that didn't stop Phillies star Bryce Harper from joining an incredibly exclusive club.

Harper hit his 300th career home run, but that wasn't the only history that he made.

Per @StatsCentre on social media:

300+ career home runs and 300+ career doubles in the National League by the age of 30:

@Phillies Bryce Harper (Via his blast vs LAA today)

Albert Pujols (408 HR-426 Dbls)

Andruw Jones (369-333)

Johnny Bench (310-311)

Frank Robinson (324-318)

Hank Aaron (366-351)

Mel Ott (369-358)

That's an incredible list that includes all Hall of Famers or likely-to-be Hall of Famers. Harper has spent his entire career in the National League, allowing him to move up that list more easily.

He played the first seven years of his career with the Washington Nationals and is in his fifth year with the Phillies.

He has 323 doubles in addition to the 300 home runs exactly. One of the most accomplished players of the last decade, he's a seven-time All-Star, a two-time MVP, a two-time Silver Slugger and a Rookie of the Year.

He led the Phillies to the World Series in 2022 and could take them there again this year. At 74-59, they are in first place in the National League wild card race.

They are off on Thursday but will start a series with the playoff-hopeful Milwaukee Brewers on Friday.

First pitch is set for 8:10 p.m. ET as Zack Wheeler (PHI) pitches against Freddy Peralta (MIL).
