San Francisco Giants closer Camilo Doval got the win on Tuesday night in the All-Star Game, helping the National League to its first victory since 2012.

The NL won, 3-2, thanks to a home run from Colorado Rockies catcher Elias Diaz. Diaz was named the MVP but Doval did get win on the mound, tossing a scoreless inning of relief in which he allowed one hit and struck out one.

It was a dominant pitching performance on the whole for the National League squad, who trotted out nine different pitchers in the win. The visitors struck out eight American League batters.

By getting the win, Doval became the first Giants pitcher since Matt Cain in 2012 to get a win in the All-Star Game. He also joined a more extensive list of Giants pitchers to get the win in the Midsummer Classic.

Per Sarah Langs of MLB.com on Twitter:

Giants to be ASG winning pitcher:

Today Camilo Doval

2012 Matt Cain

1981 Vida Blue

1966 Gaylord Perry

1964, 1962 Juan Marichal

1961 Stu Miller

1959 Johnny Antonelli

1951 Sal Maglie

Armed with a triple-digit fastball and a wipeout Slider, Doval has some of the best stuff of any bullpen arm in the league. He's 2-3 this season for San Francisco with a 2.63 ERA. He's struck out 57 batters in 41.0 innings while pitching to a WHIP of 1.05.

The 26-year-old is in his third year in the big leagues, going 13-10 overall with a 2.65 ERA and 56 saves.

The Giants will open the second half of the season on Friday against the Pittsburgh Pirates. First pitch is 7:05 from PNC Park.
