The Tampa Bay Rays beat the Atlanta Braves on Sunday, 10-4, to avoid a three-game sweep. The win also snapped the Rays season-high seven-game losing streak, so it was much-needed.

Despite the cold spell at the end of the first half, the Rays still accomplished quite a bit, including leading the American League East for the first time ever at the All-Star break. Tampa Bay is now 58-35, the best mark in the American League.

The Rays snapped their season-high 7-game losing streak with a home win vs the Braves. 

Their 35-15 (.700) home record this season is the best in MLB. 

TB enters the All-Star break leading the AL East for the first time in franchise history.

In addition to leading the division at the break for the first time ever, the Rays will be looking for the franchise's first World Series ever. Tampa Bay has gotten to the World Series twice, losing to the Phillies and the Dodgers.

In the win on Sunday, the Rays got three hits from All-Star Yandy Diaz, including a home run. They also got a homer from Isaac Paredes.

At 58-35, the Rays finish the first half 2.0 games ahead of the Baltimore Orioles in the American League East. They are 7.0 games ahead of the Blue Jays, 8.0 games ahead of the Yankees and 9.0 games ahead of the Red Sox.

As for the Braves, they have the best overall record in baseball at 60-29. They are 8.5 games up in the National League East.
