Every day it's something new with the Texas Rangers...

One of the best stories in baseball this year, the Rangers lead the St. Louis Cardinals, 6-2, at the time of this posting.

If they are able to win, they'll move to 20 games over .500, having entered play at 39-20 overall.

While the team accomplishments are certainly great, there are also great individual accomplishments happening as well. Marcus Semien extended his hitting streak to 25 games on Tuesday against the Cardinals, and in doing so, tied for the second-longest streak in franchise history.

The 25-game hit streak ties Ian Kinsler and Michael Young for the second-longest streak in franchise history and is just shy of Gabe Kapler's franchise record of 28, which was set in 2000.

It's been a great second year in Texas for Semien, who is now hitting .306 with nine homers, 50 RBI and seven stolen bases. He's posted an OPS of .878.

The Rangers are seeking to make their first playoff appearance since 2016 and with a historically good offense, they are on track to get there.

For his career, Semien is a .258 hitter with 195 homers and 615 RBIs. He's stolen 113 bases. He made his debut in 2013 with the Chicago White Sox and has played for the Sox, the Athletics, the Blue Jays and now Texas.

He has made an All-Star team and won a Gold Glove in his career and he's vying for a second All-Star appearance this year. That game will be played in Seattle at T-Mobile Park.
