The Texas Rangers put up 11 runs in an 11-8 victory over the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday afternoon.

The win in Game 2 of the ALDS gives Texas a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five series and means they are just one win away from punching their ticket to the ALCS.

For the Orioles, who won an American League-best 101 games this year, they are one loss away from elimination.

Texas registered 11 hits in the win, including a grand slam by catcher Mitch Garver, to help pace the victory.

Seven different Rangers' starters had hits in the win, but oddly enough, MVP candidate Corey Seager wasn't one of them.

Seager went just 0-for-1 in the game, doing something at the plate that's never been done before in playoff history.

Per ESPN Stats & Info:

Corey Seager is the 1st player in MLB history to walk 5 times in a playoff game.

Yup, call it plate discipline, call it pitching around him, or call it something else, but Seager was still an important part of the victory. He created constant traffic on the basepaths and scored two runs.

He's hitting .417 for these playoffs and is a lifetime .245 postseason hitter between his time with the Dodgers and Rangers.

This regular season, Seager hit .327 with 33 homers and 96 RBI. He'll absolutely receive MVP votes in the American League and has a chance to win the award, although Shohei Ohtani is still the presumptive favorite.

Game 3 of the ALDS will take place on Tuesday night from Arlington. First pitch is 8:03 p.m. ET.
