The Texas Rangers will take on the Houston Astros in Game 7 of the ALCS on Monday night at Minute Maid Park.

The Rangers are looking for their first World Series appearance since 2011 while the Astros are looking to punch their ticket for the third consecutive year.

If the Rangers are going to break through against Astros' starting pitcher Cristian Javier, rookie Evan Carter could be a big part of it.

The rookie, who just joined the roster in September, has been on fire this postseason, making some impressive baseball history.

Per Sarah Langs of MLB.com:

Evan Carter has now reached base safely in 11 straight games

that’s the longest streak by a player at age 21 or younger in postseason history and it’s his FIRST 11 PS games!

Carter went 1-for-3 in Game 6, entering the game as a pinch-hitter for Robbie Grossman.

Because he hasn't played enough games yet to lose his prospect eligibility, he is still the No. 1 prospect in the organization, per MLB.com.

The following comes from his MLB.com prospect profile:

The Rangers' 2022 Minor League player of the year, Carter stands out most for his advanced approach at the plate, where he recognizes pitches and controls the strike zone well beyond his years and uses the entire field. He makes consistent contact with a clean left-handed swing, and his bat speed and the leverage in his lanky 6-foot-2 frame should lead to at least average power once he adds some needed strength and pulls pitches more frequently. He completes his offensive package with plus speed and the savvy to use it well on the bases.

He hit .306 in 62 regular season at-bats and is hitting .314 this postseason with a homer, three RBI and two stolen bases.

Game 7 is at 8:03 p.m. ET on Monday.
