The National League beat the American League on Tuesday night at the All-Star Game in Seattle, and while the game itself was fun, what might have been more fun was all the random trivia that came out of it.

Let's start here:

1) This was the first All-Star Game since 2008 with multiple caught stealings. Both Sean Murphy (NL - Braves) and Jonah Heim (AL - Rangers) threw out prospective base stealers.

2) Will Smith of the Dodgers became just the third catcher to steal a base in the All-Star Game.

And then there was more trivia that came out of this game:

3) It's the first time that two players with the same last name have ever hit home runs in the same All-Star Game. It happened when Yandy Diaz (AL - Rays) and Elias Diaz (NL - Rockies) did it. The latter hit the go-ahead homer and propelled the National League to the win while winning the MVP award.

4) Justin Steele of the Chicago Cubs became the second pitcher to appear in an All-Star game on his birthday.

Now you can go wow your friends with all this trivia and random history.

All in all, it was another fun night at the Midsummer Classic. We know that the 2024 game will be played in Arlington at Globe Life Field. The 2025 game is up for consideration still with these places being under heavy consideration, per reports that surfaced on Tuesday.

The regular season resumes on Friday night.
