Houston Astros fans got a scare on Tuesday night when star Jose Altuve removed himself from the game against the Milwaukee Brewers.

After the game, it was reported by Astros Insider Chandler Rome that Altuve was just under the weather.

Jose Altuve was “feeling sick” and removed from the game as a precaution, Dusty Baker said.

We certainly hope that Altuve is feeling better soon, but that's a much better outcome than any kind of injury. Altuve just made his debut last week after missing the whole season with a thumb injury suffered in the World Baseball Classic.

Since coming back, Altuve is hitting .250 in 12 at-bats. He has registered one RBI thus far.

For his career, he's a .307 hitter with 192 homers and 697 RBI. He's also stolen 279 bases.

He is an eight-time All-Star selection who led the league in hits four years in a row from 2014-2017. He won the MVP award in the American League in 2017 and has received MVP votes in seven different seasons. He's also won a Gold Glove and six Silver Sluggers.

Altuve also helped the Astros win the World Series in 2017 and 2022.

Houston saw it's eight-game winning streak come to an end on Tuesday, losing to the Brewers, 6-0. With the loss, the Astros are now 28-20 and 2.0 games back of the Texas Rangers in the American League West.

The Brewers moved to 26-22 with the win and are 1.0 game ahead of the Pittsburgh Pirates in the National League Central.
