WATCH: Braves Star Austin Riley Hits Another No-Doubt Home Run
One day after hitting the longest home run by an opposing player in Busch Stadium history, Atlanta Braves star Austin Riley hit another no-doubter on Tuesday against the St. Louis Cardinals and starting pitcher Steven Matz.
Per metrics, the blast from Riley was a home run in all 30 major league parks and traveled 410 feet. It left the bat with an exit velocity of 102.1 miles per hour. It was Riley's second home run of the year.
Ben Verlander of the "Flippin Bats" podcast has provided the video of the blast, which put the Braves up 2-0.
Riley is one of the top young sluggers in all of baseball. The 26-year-old finished with 38 home runs and 93 RBI in 2022 and is off to a .267 start this season through 15 at-bats.
Riley earned all-star honors in 2022 and finished sixth in National League MVP voting. He finished seventh in the voting in 2021 when he helped the Braves win the World Series with 33 homers and 107 RBI.
He helps make up one of the strongest young cores in the entire sport alongside Ronald Acuna Jr. and Ozzie Albies.
The Braves won 101 games a season ago and captured the National League East crown over the New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies, both of which made the playoffs.
The Braves were 3-1 entering play on Tuesday and are considered strong contenders for the National League pennant again, but right now they are dealing with injuries as starting pitcher Max Fried was put on the injured list today.
