The Baltimore Orioles are earning high praise from the baseball world for treating their fans the right way.

After the Orioles and Reds dealt with multiple rain delays on Monday, the fans who stayed were rewarded with a free ticket voucher to a future game.

The gesture caught the attention of several people on social media, including baseball influencer and former pro player Ben Verlander.

He tweeted "This is awesome. The Baltimore Orioles had two rain delays to deal with last night. The fans that stuck around were given a free ticket voucher as a thank you. More of this!"

The Orioles put the information up on the big board at Camden Yards saying "We appreciate you sticking with us through the delay tonight. As a thank you for being the best fans in baseball, please be sure to pick up a complimentary ticket voucher from one of our friendly event staff members as you exit the park tonight."

Baltimore won that game, 10-3, and everyone got free tickets? Sounds like a great day at the ballpark.

The Orioles and Reds will play again on Tuesday, hopefully in better weather. First pitch from Camden Yards is set for 7:05 p.m. ET as Andrew Abbott pitches for Cincy and Tyler Wells goes for the O's.

Baltimore is 48-29 and currently in second place in the American League East. They own the top spot in the American League wild card race at this time. Cincinnati is 41-38 and currently in second place in the National League Central.
