Baseball and food fans rejoiced on Thursday when Jake Burger of the Chicago White Sox got to face off against Michael King of the New York Yankees.

Why? Because the scoreboard read "Burger King" and fans took to social media to point it out:

While all the fans were laughing, it was the White Sox who got the laugh on the field, beating New York, 6-5, in game one of a doubleheader.

Wednesday's game was postponed because of poor air quality in New York.

Burger went 2-4 in the game with a home run while King took the loss for New York, giving up two earned runs in two innings.

Burger has been an offensive spark for the White Sox, hitting .272 with a .322 on-base percentage. He's got 13 homers this year to go along with 31 RBI.

The former first-round pick made his major league debut in 2021 with the White Sox.

King is now 1-2 with a 2.08 ERA and three saves this season. Despite the loss on Thursday, he's got a pristine 1.07 WHIP and has struck out 40 batters in 34.2 innings.

After the win, the White Sox are now 28-35 on the season and continue to stay relevant in the mediocre American League Central. They are just 3.0 games behind the first-place Twins.

The Yankees are now 36-27 and in third place in the American League East.

The two teams will finish out the doubleheader on Thursday night at 7:35 p.m. ET.

The White Sox will host the Marlins this weekend while the Yankees will host the Red Sox.
