As Major League Baseball continues its partnership with Nike, nine new teams are getting 'City Connect' uniforms in 2024.

From MLB.com:

Between Opening Day and the All-Star Break, the Guardians, Tigers, Dodgers, Twins, Mets, Phillies, Cardinals, Rays and Blue Jays will unveil new City Connect uniforms. Introduced in the 2021 season, the Nike MLB City Connect Series celebrates each city's deep-rooted history, culture and spirit that continues to bring the clubs and their communities together.

The City Connect uniforms generally receive mixed reviews from fans, but they do end up getting talked about quite a bit, which is ultimately good for the sport.

The uniforms are very creative and tend to do a good job honoring a city and organization's past and heritage. They tend to be worn by teams during Friday night home games.

But before we get to uniforms reveals, we have to get to the season itself. Pitchers and catchers around baseball report this week with the first spring training games slated for the last week of February.

Major League Baseball's season opens up on March 20-21 with a two-game Korea Series to be played between the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres.

That will be the much-anticipated Dodgers' debut of Shohei Ohtani, and should also be the first time that we see Yoshinobu Yamamoto pitch in a major league uniform.

The season starts for the rest of the teams on March 28.

The Texas Rangers won the 2023 World Series by defeating the Arizona Diamondbacks in five games.
