As the Cleveland Guardians take on the Chicago Cubs on Friday afternoon at Wrigley Field, they will have manager Terry Francona in the dugout.

Per Guardians reporter Mandy Bell on Twitter:

Guardians manager Terry Francona will be back in the dugout today.

Francona had been out the last few days after feeling light-headed in Kansas City, so it's good to see him back for the team.

He's in his 23rd year managing in the major leagues.

He spent four years with the Philadelphia Phillies and eight with the Boston Red Sox before joining the Guardians franchise in 2013. He won the World Series in 2004 and 2007 with the Red Sox and took Cleveland to the World Series in 2016, when they lost to the Chicago Cubs.

As he gets back to the dugout, he's seeing a Guardians team that is certainly resurgent. Cleveland has won seven of its last 10 games to move into a tie in the American League Central.

Though they are just 39-41, the mediocrity of the division has allowed them to hang around the race. While the division is the best chance at the playoffs, Cleveland is also only 5.0 games out of the wild card picture right now.

The Guardians will bring pitcher Cal Quantrill back on Friday from a stint on the injured list. He's 2-4 with a 5.61 ERA this season. The Cubs will counter with stud lefty Justin Steele. He's 8-2 with a 2.62 ERA and pairs with Marcus Stroman to make one of the best 1-2 punches in the league.
