It's hard to believe that the Colorado Rockies' Jurickson Profar didn't have a team this spring.

Profar played for the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the World Baseball Classic and didn't end up signing with the Rockies until March 21.

It appears to have been a good signing for Colorado, as Profar has reached base in 30 consecutive games, the longest active streak in baseball.

MLB Network tweeted:

Jurickson Profar is an on-base machine! The @Rockies outfielder extended his on-base streak to 30 in yesterday's win, the longest active streak in MLB. #Rockies

For those wondering, the longest on-base streak of all time is 84, achieved by Ted Williams in 1949. It's unlikely that Profar reaches that mark, but regardless, this is impressive for a guy that didn't have a club until right before the season.

Formerly a top prospect in all of baseball, Profar has carved out a nice career for himself. He's in his 10th season in the majors, but his 12th as part of the major league scene (he didn't play in 2014 and 2015).

He spent five seasons with the Rangers, three years with the Padres, one with the Athletics and is in his first with Colorado.

Lifetime, he's a .239 hitter with 83 home runs. He hit 20 home runs in both the 2018 and 2019 seasons.

This season, he's hitting .255 with five home runs and 19 RBIs. He's scored 20 runs.

Profar will get a chance to extend his on-base streak on Tuesday as the Rockies take on the Marlins at 8:40 p.m. ET.
