Corbin Carroll's Parents Go Viral as Arizona Diamondbacks Rookie Gets His First Bobblehead
Arizona Diamondbacks star Corbin Carroll is having a phenomenal rookie year in the big leagues and could very easily win the National League Rookie of the Year award.
He's experienced a lot of "firsts" this season, including making his first All-Star Game and getting his first bobblehead as part of a ballpark giveaway.
Carroll's parents got a sneak peak at the bobbleheads, which will come out on Saturday night, and they went viral on the internet for their response.
In one of the most wholesome moments you'll see all season, Carroll's dad said he was proud of his son, and his mom said she may cry when she sees children enjoying the bobbleheads.
The 23-year-old Seattle native is one of the most impactful young players in the game, so it's understandable why the Diamondbacks want to market him. He's hitting .277 this season with 22 home runs and 64 RBI. He's also stolen 38 bases and has posted a .355 on-base percentage.
He's a major reason why the Diamondbacks are the in the playoff conversation at this point in the season. Arizona enters play on Friday at 0.5 games up in the race for the third and final wild card spot in the National League.
They will host the playoff-hopeful Cincinnati Reds on Friday night at Chase Field. First pitch is set for 9:40 p.m. ET as Hunter Greene (CIN) pitches against Brandon Pfaadt (ARI).
Greene is 2-5 with a 4.72 ERA while Pfaadt is 0-6 with a 6.13 ERA.
