The Toronto Blue Jays were swept in two games in the wild card series by the Minnesota Twins, marking seven consecutive playoff losses for the franchise.

Despite having one of the best young cores in baseball with Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette, the Jays just haven't been able to get over the hump, getting swept in the wild card round in 2020, 2022 and 2023.

WIth those repetitive playoff failures at the forefront, ESPN MLB Insider Buster Olney wondered aloud this week if the Jays might consider moving on from Guerrero Jr. this offseason.

He spoke to 'The Brady Farkas Show' HERE:

"I think it's something that they now need to consider. I haven't heard directly from anyone in the Blue Jays organization that that's what they're going to do but folks with other teams are looking at the trajectory of the team, they're looking at the recent performance of Vlad Jr. and they're looking at his salary situation..."

While Guerrero Jr.'s 26 homer, 94 RBI and .264 batting average season is good by most baseball standards, it is a continued regression for the 24-year-old, who is supposed to be blossoming into one of the best young players in all of baseball.

He hit 48 homers back in 2021 and drove in 111, then fell to 32-97 in 2022 before this year's 26-94.

He made $14.5 million this past season and will be due for another big raise in arbitration, so if the Jays want to save money, they could look to move on as well.

It will be an interesting offseason North of the Border.
