Houston Astros' "X" Account Takes Massive "L" in Game 6 of ALCS
There's a reason why games are played on the fields and courts and not behind the keyboards, as evidenced by the Houston Astros "X" account taking a massive "L" on Sunday during Game 6 of the ALCS.
Let's set the stage:
1) Remember back to Friday night in Game 5 of the ALCS when Astros pitcher Bryan Abreu hit Adolis Garcia of the Rangers? Abreu was ejected for intentionally throwing at Garcia and the benches cleared.
2) Well, the Astros "X" account decided to have a little fun with the rivalry, making posts when Garcia struck out on Sunday night in Game 6. They had plenty of opportunities to do so, as Garcia struck out each of his first four plate appearances. This likely gave Astros' fans plenty of laughs.
3) Well, Garcia got the last laugh by hitting a back-breaking grand slam in the ninth inning on Sunday to help the Rangers win Game 6 by a lopsided 9-2 margin.
Those who enjoyed seeing the Astros fail took note of all this on social media...
Per "X" user Lewis Foster:
The Astros twitter account made 4 separate posts about striking out Adolis Garcia, just for him to drop a grand slam on their heads lmao.
The Astros' social media accounts have infuriated people before. After they took out the Seattle Mariners in the ALDS in 2022, the account posted some graphics and messages that angered Mariners' fans, mainly mocking some of the team's catch phrases and rallying cries.
Game 7 of the ALCS is on Monday night at 8:03 p.m. ET.
