Los Angeles Angels and Los Angeles Dodgers Congratulate LLWS Champions on Social Media
As the team from El Segundo, Calif. won the Little League Baseball World Series on Sunday, they got some big praise on social media from both of Southern California's Major League Baseball teams.
The California team beat the team from Curacao in one of the most memorable Little League finals ever, getting a walk-off home run to win 6-5.
Louis Lappe hit the game-winning home run and finished the final by going 2-for-2 with a walk and two runs scored.
After the game, the Los Angeles Angels sent a message of congratulations on "X," formerly known as Twitter.
"Congratulations, El Segundo Little League," they said.
So proud of our El Segundo squad. Can’t wait to see you champs at Dodger Stadium on 8/29! was the message from the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The Dodgers will be honoring the team on Tuesday night before a home game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The Little League Baseball World Series originally featured 20 teams from around the world vying for the championship. There were 10 teams from the United States and 10 teams from around the world.
The games were played at the Little League Baseball World Series complex in Williamsport, Penn.
