Los Angeles Dodgers' Miguel Rojas Keeps Mashing After Burglar Broke Into His Car

Miguel Rojas' Lamborghini was reportedly broken into Tuesday, but he hit his second home run in three days during the Dodgers' win on Wednesday.

Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Miguel Rojas faced a scary moment Tuesday night, but he showed no fear at the plate on Wednesday.

Rojas had his Lamborghini burglarized in Downtown Los Angeles after the Dodgers' 6-2 win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday night, police sources confirmed to multiple outlets. The driver's side window had been smashed in, while Rojas' mother-in-law's purse and some electronics had been stolen.

The 34-year-old infielder was at dinner during the theft, and no injuries were reported.

Earlier that night, Rojas had gone 1-for-4 with two RBI, and he came through with an even bigger performance following the break-in.

Rojas went 1-for-3 with a walk and a go-ahead solo home run Wednesday against the Brewers, helping to lift the Dodgers to a 7-1 win and league-best 14-1 record in August. It was the second home run in three games and the third of the month for Rojas, who had previously gone 156-straight games without a homer.

Through 92 games in 2023, Rojas is hitting .220 with a .571 OPS.

Rojas got his start in Los Angeles, playing 85 games for the Dodgers in 2014, but he was soon traded to the Miami Marlins as part of a package that brought back utility man Kiké Hernandez and catcher Austin Barnes. Over the next eight seasons, Rojas became an everyday player for the Marlins, racking up 707 hits in 870 games.

The Marlins traded Rojas back to the Dodgers in January, picking up infield prospect Jacob Amaya in return.

For his career, Rojas is a .257 hitter with a .663 OPS.

The Dodgers will close out their home series against the Brewers on Thursday night at 10:10 p.m. ET. A visit from the Marlins is next up on the schedule.
