Playing in his first game as a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers, superstar Shohei Ohtani hit a home run in his second at bat.

Ohtani, who was delayed in appearing in a game because of offseason elbow surgery, hit the opposite field blast off veteran righty Dominic Leone.

You can watch it below:

Ohtani's debut season with the Dodgers will be among the biggest storylines in all of baseball this year. After winning two MVP Awards with the cross-town Angels, Ohtani left for the biggest contract in North American sports history (10 years, $700 million).

Though he's unable to pitch this season because of the aforementioned surgery, he will be able to provide plenty of thump in the middle of that order. He hit second on Tuesday, behind Mookie Betts and ahead of Freddie Freeman. He struck out in his first at-bat, which came off lefty Garrett Crochet, who is fighting to make the White Sox starting rotation.

With that lineup and the addition of Tyler Glasnow and Yoshinobu Yamamoto in the starting rotation, the Dodgers are among a select group of favorites heading into the 2024 season - and they certainly will have the most pressure.

LA won the National League West a year ago but was eliminated in the National League Division Series by the Arizona Diamondbacks, who went onto advance to the World Series.

The Dodgers ended up beating the White Sox on Tuesday and after Ohtani's debut, we'll get to see Yamamoto debut for the team later this week.
