Some internet sleuths and uniform expert Paul Lukas have gotten ahold of leaks for the Major League Baseball All-Star Game caps.

You can see them within this tweet from Lukas, here.

Spoiler alert: Like last season, the hats are all the same for each team. The players maintain the logos of their individual teams, but all are set to the same color: gray in this case.

Look, this is just my opinion. The hats are fine, but that's not what the All-Star Game is about. In my opinion, the All-Star Game is at its best when every player is wearing the actual jersey and hat of their individual team.

I grew up a Seattle Mariners fan. Before MLB Extra Innings and MLB.tv, I never got to watch the Mariners play, the All-Star Game was the only chance to see my favorite players wearing my favorite team's jerseys. And if you are a fan of a team that's bad, or a team that's never on national television, you feel the same way. The All-Star Game is a chance to showcase your guys, and that is taken away when the individual jerseys are taken away.

This homogenization of the uniforms just seems like another way to sell merchandise, and while money is clearly important, it doesn't do the fans any good.

The All-Star Game will be played on July 11 in Seattle at T-Mobile Park.

We'll find out the team rosters in a few weeks and Lukas says we should get some uniform leaks in the next coming weeks as well.
