Major League Baseball and several teams took to social media on Sunday to honor the many moms who have helped make baseball great.

It all started with the @MLB channel on social media which put out a short video highlighting some of the great moms in the sport, including Mookie Betts of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Alek Manoah of the Toronto Blue Jays and Bryce Harper shouting out his mom. You can watch that below:

Multiple teams also shouted out mom's including the Los Angeles Angels and Toronto Blue Jays.

The Angels post included posts from Mike Trout and Taylor Ward.

It will be a great day around baseball, full of pink bats and wristbands, and several teams making pushes to help raise funds and awareness for breast cancer.

And it will be a day to honor the moms that helped shape our loves of the sport. As for my own mom, she helped take me to practices and games and even threw me batting practice when I was struggling.

Her relentless commitment to paying for classes and lessons and travel teams helped me play at the highest level possible, and for that, I am forever grateful.

Just like so many of the great big leaguers, my own baseball love started with a supportive home environment.

I can't wait to see what else teams put out to honor the contributions of all the mothers out there.

Happy Mothers Day, 2023!
