The Detroit Tigers visit the Miami Marlins this weekend which means it's the final trip to Miami for baseball legend Miguel Cabrera.

Cabrera, who started his career with the Marlins, had all the stops pulled out for him by his former franchise, who gave him a video tribute, brought out some former teammates and presented him gifts as part of an on-field celebration.

You can watch the highlights courtesy of the Marlins Twitter account below:

The 40-year-old Venezuela native is retiring at the end of the season after a career that has spanned 21 years.

The future Hall of Famer has one of the most accomplished careers in baseball history. He's a lifetime .307 hitter, which leads all qualified, active players. He's hit 508 homers, which leads all current players and has driven in 1,862 runs. He is a 12-time All-Star, a seven-time Silver Slugger winner, a four-time batting champion, a two-time MVP winner and a Triple Crown winner.

He also helped the Marlins win the World Series in 2003 at the age of 19.

He spent five years with the Marlins before spending 16 in Detroit. With the Marlins, he was a four-time All-Star who received MVP votes in four different seasons.

As he's battled age and injuries the last few years, he hasn't been the same player, but that shouldn't derail what has been a great career. He's hitting .249 this year with just one home run and 15 RBI.

The two teams will play again Saturday and Sunday.
