Miami Marlins See Major Attendance Jump in 2023 as Team Still in Playoff Contention

The Miami Marlins have made substantial gains on the field in 2023, and as a result, they have made substantial gains at the box office.

The Marlins today concluded the home slate of the 2023 regular season at loanDepot park, having hosted 1,162,819 fans over the 81 games. It marks the first season with more than 1 million fans since 2017, and is nearly a 30 percent increase over the club's 2022 attendance total.

The Marlins are looking for their first playoff berth since the COVID 2020 season and enter play on Monday at 81-75 and 1.0 game back of the third and final wild card spot in the National League.
They trail both the Cubs and Diamondbacks by 1.0 game so they will be rooting for both teams to lose over the final week of the regular season.
The Marlins are back in action on Tuesday night when they travel to New York to take on the Mets.
First pitch is set for 7:10 p.m. ET as Marlins' lefty Braxton Garrett pitches against Mets' lefty Joey Lucchesi. Garrett will enter that game at 9-6 with a 3.53 ERA while Lucchesi is 3-0 with a 2.88 ERA.

The Cubs will travel to Atlanta to take on the best team in baseball, the Braves. Justin Steele (CHC) will pitch against Bryce Elder (ATL).
The Diamondbacks will take on the White Sox in Chicago. First pitch is set for 7:40 p.m. as Zach Davies (ARI) goes up against Jose Urena (CWS).
