Miami Marlins' Star Has Apparently Given Up His Daily McDonalds Trip, Internet Was in Awe

Apparently Miami Marlins' star Jazz Chisholm used to go to McDonald's every single day. He's given up that habit heading into 2024 but the internet was still in awe when his previous routine was made public.

Miami Marlins star Jazz Chisholm Jr. had the internet in awe on Thursday when it was revealed that the center fielder used to eat at McDonald's every single day.

The news came out in an MLB.com article about changes to his routine for the 2024 season, and though he has given up that aspect of his routine, it made quite the impression.

First, from the article:

This is how serious Chisholm is about not spending a day on the injured list: His daily McDonald’s trips are over. He hired a chef and it’s about eating right. He even has a personal physical therapist. According to Schumaker, Chisholm spent part of his offseason with former big leaguer Matt Holliday and talked about the art of hitting.

Next, the reaction, including from Aram Leighton of Just Baseball Media:

Wait…Jazz was eating McDonald’s every day?!

And from "X" user @MarinerMuse:

Just a WILD first sentence to casually toss out

It seems that a re-commitment to health and conditioning is on the menu for Chisholm this year after playing just 97 games a season ago.

The 26-year-old is a foundational piece for the Marlins and one of the most talented young players in baseball. He made his debut in 2020 and then broke out in 2021 by hitting 18 homers and stealing 23 bases. Last year, he hit 19 homers and stole 22 bases.

With Jorge Soler gone in free agency, Chisholm will be a major part of what the Marlins do in 2024. They made the playoffs a season ago as a wild card team.
