Milwaukee Brewers Put Out Viral Message on X After Huge Day in Milwaukee Sports Scene
Milwaukee is one of the great places to be right now in sports, apparently.
The Milwaukee Brewers won the National League Central for the second time in three years on Tuesday night and will be the No. 3 seed in the National League playoffs and the Milwaukee Bucks acquired All-NBA star Damian Lillard in a massive trade with the Portland TrailBlazers and Phoenix Suns on Wednesday.
After the NBA trade was reported, the Brewers put out a fun and viral message on the social media platform "X," which was formerly known as Twitter.
It’s a good day to be a Milwaukee fan
Short, sweet and to the point. Well done by the Brewers social media team. It's also true.
While the Bucks have won an NBA title in the last three years, this could set up Milwaukee to win titles in both baseball and basketball this season, which would be an incredible accomplishment.
Armed with a solid 1-2 in the rotation and a great closer in Devin Williams, the Brewers are definitely a contender in the National League. The Dodgers and Braves are certainly the favorites, but Milwaukee shouldn't be discounted.
The Brewers also boast a very solid manager in Craig Counsell, who is seen as one of the best tacticians in all of baseball.
The Brewers will take on the St. Louis Cardinals on Wednesday night at American Family Field. First pitch is set for 7:40 p.m. ET as Zack Thompson (STL) pitches against Wade Miley (MIL).
