According to MLB Insider Hector Gomez, free agent slugger Jorge Soler is seeking a three-year deal this offseason and several teams are still in the running.

Per Gomez on social media:

SOURCE: Jorge Soler is seeking for a multi-year contract of at least 3 guaranteed years. The #RedSox continue being the frontrunner. The #Mets are showing heavy interest in him, joining #RedSox, #BlueJays, #Diamondbacks and #Mariners in the Soler sweepstakes.

One of the most intriguing position players still left on the market, Soler hit 36 homers last year for the Miami Marlins. He opted out of the remainder of his deal with Miami to test the market.

The soon-to-be 32-year-old also hit 48 homers back in the 2019 season with the Royals. That led the American League. He's also a two-time World Series champion and would bring playoff experience to wherever he signs.

Soler hit .250 last season with a .341 on-base percentage and would represent an upgrade to any of the lineups mentioned.

He's not known as a great defender so he may profile more as a designated hitter. Soler would fit well in Toronto, where Daulton Varsho, George Springer and Kevin Kiermaier can lock down the outfield and he can DH. The Mariners have room at the designated hitter spot and could afford to use an outfield rotation involving some combination of Julio Rodriguez, Luke Raley, Mitch Haniger, Dom Canzone and Cade Marlowe.

The Red Sox are in a more precarious position. They also have a glut of outfielders and Masataka Yoshida also profiles as more of a DH. If Boston were to move Yoshida, the DH spot would be more open for Soler.

Spring training begins in just over one month.
