New Los Angeles Dodgers' Pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto Left Fans in Awe with His Awesome Glove
New Los Angeles Dodgers' pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto had fans in awe on Monday afternoon when a picture of his new custom glove went viral on social media.
Yamamoto's glove is a perfect shade of Dodger blue and includes black strings. It also has a Japanese flag, a big Dodgers logo and Japanese writing on the thumb.

Gloves have become a fun way to show player personality and Yamamoto certainly did a good job taking advantage of that opportunity.
We'll get a chance to see Yamamoto use his glove in person when he makes his Dodgers debut this week at spring training.
One of the most anticipated debuts in baseball this year, Yamamoto signed a record 12-year, $325 million deal with the Dodgers this offseason. He pairs with newcomers Shohei Ohtani, Teoscar Hernandez, Tyler Glasnow and James Paxton to make one of the most anticipated rosters in baseball history. The Dodgers won the National League West last season but were beaten in the Arizona Diamondbacks in the NLDS. They are hoping their massive spending spree will help them win the World Series this year.
They last won the World Series in the COVID 2020 season.
For more on Yamamoto, here was information that MLB.com posted in December:
Only three Major League pitchers have won three Triple Crowns: Sandy Koufax, Walter Johnson and Grover Cleveland Alexander. But over in Japan, Yamamoto has won three in a row.
Pitching in NPB's Pacific League, Yamamoto has led the league in wins, ERA and strikeouts in each of the last three seasons:
Yamamoto's Triple Crown run
- 2021: 18-5, 1.39 ERA, 206 K
- 2022: 15-5, 1.68 ERA, 205 K
- 2023: 16-6, 1.21 ERA, 169 K
Just totaling that up, that's a 49-16 record, 1.44 ERA and 580 strikeouts for Yamamoto over the last three seasons. You'd be hard-pressed to find a more dominant run in professional baseball today.
