New York Yankees star Aaron Judge has responded to allegations of possible cheating from the Toronto Blue Jays broadcast team.

On Monday, we told you that the Jays broadcast team of Dan Shulman and Buck Martinez made note of how Judge was looking towards the Yankees dugout during at-bats.

You can read that story and see the video of their comments here.

Judge had two homers on the day, including one right after looking at the dugout, further fueling speculation.

After the game, Judge responded and told his side of the story. The Twitter account @TalkinYanks chronicled his comments:

Aaron Judge says he was looking toward the Yankees dugout because he didn't like how much his teammates were chirping the umpire with a 6-0 lead

"I said a couple things to some guys in the dugout and especially after the game. Hopefully it won't happen again."

While that's certainly plausible, it wasn't believed by several baseball personalities on social media. That said, people didn't seem to be upset at Judge either.

Former Red Sox player and current Sox broadcaster Lou Merloni said:

Well, I’m comfortable saying that this is NOT the reason, but what can he say.

Former Red Sox infielder and baseball podcast personality Will Middlebrooks went further and defended Judge:

Notice how open Kirk’s right knee/leg is when he gives signs. The 1st base coach can easily pick these signs. This isn’t cheating… this is part of the game. Either use PitchCom or hide your signs better.

The Yankees and Blue Jays will play again on Tuesday at 7:07 p.m. ET.
