The Oakland Athletics are intent on moving to Las Vegas. We've chronicled this story from step one, including this week when the A's reportedly came to a financing agreement for a new ballpark in Vegas.

On Friday, the A's put out the first rendering of what the hypothetical new ballpark would look like.

@NBCSAthletics put it out on Twitter and @TalkinBaseball_ put out the tweet that we've highlighted below:

"The A's have released the first renderings of their proposed ballpark in Las Vegas.

It would set 30,000 fans and have a partially retractable roof."

A few things to note:

1) This is all just a plan at the moment. While the money issue appears to be resolved, the relocation plan still has to go through some legislative red tape in Nevada. It may not be difficult to do that, but it still takes some time to make this a total reality.

2) A capacity of 30,000 would make this by far the smallest ballpark in baseball. Progressive Field in Cleveland is currently the smallest and it seats nearly 35,000 people. For a team looking to move to bigger and better, they aren't banking on much fan support, are they?

3) A partially retractable roof? The average temperature in Las Vegas in July is 104 degrees. Will the fans want to go to that? Will the players want to play in that? Is that even safe?

Other heat-based climates like Houston and Texas have retractable roofs, so why wouldn't Vegas?

More to come...
