Atlanta Braves superstar outfielder Ronald Acuna is on pace for a historic season.

Currently, Acuna Jr. has four home runs and 13 stolen bases through the teams first 25 games. If he's able to keep up that pace, he'll accomplish something that has only been accomplished twice in major league history: at least 25 home runs and 80 stolen bases in a single season.

Grant McAuley, Braves Insider has the story:

"Players in MLB history with 25 HR and 80 SB in the same season:

Eric Davis, 1986 - 27 HR, 80 SB (132 g)

Rickey Henderson, 1986 -28 HR, 87 SB (153 g)

It's happened twice, in the same season, no less. With another 30 games, I think Davis could've pushed 30/90 if not 30/100."

It's crazy to think that the only two times that this has happened in MLB history was in the same season -- and it's crazy to think that Acuna could accomplish it this year.

The more impressive part is certainly the stolen bases, as Acuna appears fully healthy leg-wise after tearing an ACL in the 2021 season.

The 25-year-old is one of the most dynamic players in the game. He's hitting .363 thus far this season with a .449 on-base percentage. He's got 12 RBI as well.

Debuting in 2018, Acuna is a lifetime .282 hitter with 124 home runs and 308 RBI. He's also stolen 120 career bases. He's already a three-time all-star (2019, 2021-2022), who has won Rookie of the Year (2018) and received MVP votes in three different seasons.
