Seattle Mariners' catcher Cal Raleigh was ranked the 9th-best catcher in baseball on Wednesday by MLB Network, which seems completely ridiculous.

As we get closer and closer to spring training, MLB Network is putting out lists of the Top 10 players at each position.

On Wednesday, the network put out the rankings at catcher, and the disrespect for Seattle Mariners' catcher Cal Raleigh was real.

The "Big Dumper" checked in at No. 9 on the list behind Adley Rustchman (Orioles), Will Smith (Dodgers), Sean Murphy (Braves), JT Realmuto (Phillies), William Contreras (Brewers), Willson Contreras (Cardinals), Alejandro Kirk (Blue Jays) and Yainer Diaz (Astros).

Gabriel Moreno of the Diamondbacks checked in at No. 10.

The 27-year-old Raleigh led all catchers in home runs in 2023 with 30. He also hit 27 in 2022. He recorded 75 RBIs in 2023 as the M's won 88 games.

In addition to his offensive prowess, Raleigh also managed one of the best starting rotations in all of baseball. Both Luis Castillo and George Kirby were All-Stars in 2023 for Seattle. Furthermore, Bryce Miller and Bryan Woo were impactful rookies for the M's in 2023, and Raleigh helped carry them along as well. That should not go unnoticed.

And it's no disrespect to a guy like Kirk, but he hit just eight home runs and played 123 games last season. How does he finish ahead of Raleigh?

At the end of the day, these rankings don't really matter and Raleigh will get a chance to show how good he is again on the field in 2024.

Seattle went 88-74 in 2023 and will look to make the playoffs again after missing them by 1.0 game.

They advanced to the ALDS in 2022.
