Here at Fastball and FanNation, we obviously focus on Major League Baseball.

Unless it's June and unless it's around the College World Series and unless it's one of the most insane endings you'll ever see.

Then we make exceptions, like what happened on Monday.

Stanford University clinched a spot in the College World Series in Omaha on Monday with a walk-off victory over the University of Texas.

The game was tied 6-6 in the bottom of the ninth inning when this happened with two men on and two men out:

STANFORD WALKS IT OFF ON A ROUTINE FLYBALL THAT TEXAS CAN'T FIND, TO REACH THE MEN'S COLLEGE WORLD SERIES! #MCWS #Omaha

That is just a brutal way to lose a game with the College World Series on the line. While Texas obviously plays games under the lights during the season, when you're not used to playing under a certain set of lights, it can be hard to pick up the ball, which is what happened here.

For Stanford, they'll join the following teams in Omaha:

1) The University of Florida

2) Louisiana State University (LSU)

3) Oral Roberts

4) TCU

5) Virginia

6) Wake Forest

7) Winner of Tennessee and Southern Miss

Here is the schedule of events for the College World Series, per NCAA.com:

  • First day of MCWS games: Start Friday, June 16
  • MCWS finals: Saturday-Monday, June 24-26
  • Final championship game: Monday, June 26

The games will be broadcast on the ESPN family of networks.
