Starting Lineups, Pitchers For Boston Red Sox at Detroit Tigers Game on Sunday

The Boston Red Sox got two home runs on Saturday from star third baseman Rafael Devers in a lopsided 14-5 victory. Now, the Sox go for the sweep of the Detroit Tigers and look to get over .500 once again. Here are the starting lineups and pitching matchups for both teams.

After getting swept at home by the Pittsburgh Pirates, people were down on the Boston Red Sox. But a trip to Detroit has proven to be just what the doctor ordered. The Sox have won the first two games of this series, including a 14-5 drubbing on Saturday, and now go for the sweep at Comerica Park.

A win would move propel the Red Sox over .500, as they currently sit at 4-4. The Tigers are now 2-6 and have played disappointing baseball in this series coming off a series win at the World Champion Astros.

Here is the lineup for the Red Sox, managed by Alex Cora.

1) Rob Refsnyder, LF

2) Rafael Devers, 3B

3) Justin Turner, DH

4) Alex Verdugo, RF

5) Adam Duvall, CF

6) Christian Arroyo, 2B

7) Enrique Hernandez, SS

8) Triston Casas, 1B

9) Connor Wong, C

SP: Kutter Crawford (0-1, 15.75 ERA)

This Red Sox lineup clearly looks different today, as the Sox see a southpaw on the mound in Matthew Boyd. Alex Cora elects to give Masataka Yoshida the day off entirely and drops Verdugo into the cleanup spot. Refsynder, who was a .359 hitter against lefties a season ago, slides into the leadoff spot.

On the mound, Crawford gets the start after struggling against the Pirates his last time out. It's not known how much longer Crawford will be in the rotation, as Garrett Whitlock, Brayan Bello and James Paxton are working their way back from injury. When everyone is healthy, there's the thought of maybe utilizing a six-man rotation, but Crawford wouldn't likely be a part of it.

As for the Tigers and manager A.J. Hinch:

1) Akil Baddoo, LF

2) Riley Greene, CF

3) Javy Baez, SS

4) Kerry Carpenter, RF

5) Spencer Torkelson, 1B

6) Nick Maton, 3B

7) Miguel Cabrera, DH

8) Jonathan Schoop, 2B

9) Eric Haase, C

SP: Matthew Boyd (0-0, 4.15 ERA)

First pitch is slated for 1:10 p.m. ET.
