Starting Lineups, Pitchers For Seattle Mariners and Los Angeles Angels Game on Wednesday

The Seattle Mariners and Los Angeles Angels wrap up their three-game series at T-Mobile Park on Wednesday afternoon at 4:10 p.m. ET. Shohei Ohtani and Chris Flexen match up on the mound in the deciding game of the series between American League West foes.

The Seattle Mariners pounded the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday night, getting multi-home run efforts from both Teoscar Hernandez and AJ Pollock. The 11-2 win for Seattle moved the Mariners to 2-4 on the season and dropped the Angels to 3-2.

It's a good thing the Mariners took last night's game, because the task today is awfully tough, as they'll face Shohei Ohtani, the most dynamic player in the sport.

Here's the lineup for the club led by Scott Servais:

1) Julio Rodriguez, CF

2) Ty France, 1B

3) Eugenio Suarez, 3B

4) Cal Raleigh, C

5) Teoscar Hernandez, RF

6) Kolten Wong, 2B

7) AJ Pollock, DH

8) Jarred Kelenic, LF

9) JP Crawford, SS

SP: Chris Flexen (0-0, 2.25 ERA)

The big story for the Mariners in this one is the starting debut of Flexen. He's been primarily a starter the last two years for Seattle, going 25-26 over the last two seasons in Seattle, but started this year in the bullpen for the Mariners.

He's taking the place of injured left-hander and former Cy Young winner Robbie Ray, who is on the injured list now with a flexor strain suffered in his debut against the Cleveland Guardians.

For the Angels, managed by Phil Nevin:

1) Taylor Ward, LF

2) Mike Trout, CF

3) Shohei Ohtani, DH

4) Hunter Renfroe, RF

5) Brandon Drury, 2B

6) Jake Lamb, 1B

7) Gio Urshela, 3B

8) Luis Rengifo, SS

9) Logan O'Hoppe, C

SP: Ohtani, (0-0, 0.00 ERA)

The story of any Angels game is Ohtani, who gets the start today after going six scoreless innings on Opening Day against Oakland.

For his career, Ohtani is 28-14 with a 2.91 ERA.
