Starting Lineups, Pitchers For Game 2 of the World Series Between Texas Rangers, Arizona Diamondbacks

After an instant classic in Game 1, the Texas Rangers and Arizona Diamondbacks have released their starting lineups for Game 2 of the World Series.

After an instant classic that saw the Texas Rangers beat the Arizona Diamondbacks in Game 1 of the World Series 6-5, the lineups are out for the encore.

First, for Bruce Bochy and the homestanding Rangers, who are just three wins away from the organization's first World Series championship.

1) Marcus Semien, 2B

2) Corey Seager, SS

3) Evan Carter, LF

4) Adolis Garcia, RF

5) Mitch Garver, DH

6) Jonah Heim, C

7) Nate Lowe, 1B

8) Josh Jung, 3B

9) Leody Taveras, CF

SP) Jordan Montgomery

It's the same lineup for Bochy in Game 2 as in Game 1. Seager and Garcia provided a lot of the pop in Game 1, with Seager hitting a two-run home run to tie the game in the bottom of the ninth inning, and Garcia hitting a walk-off to win it in the 11th. Montgomery takes the mound sitting at 3-0 with a 2.16 ERA this postseason.

Now, for the visiting Diamondbacks, who are three losses away from their season ending:

1) Ketel Marte, 2B

2) Corbin Carroll, RF

3) Gabriel Moreno, C

4) Christian Walker, 1B

5) Tommy Pham, DH

6) Lourdes Gurriel Jr., LF

7) Alek Thomas, CF

8) Evan Longoria, 3B

9) Geraldo Perdomo, SS

SP) Merrill Kelly

This is mostly the same lineup as Game 1, except Marte and Carroll are flip-flopped in the batting order. Kelly enters the game at 2-1 with a 2.65 ERA in these playoffs. He has big game experience, having pitched in Game 6 of the NLCS and starting the final of the World Baseball Classic in March for Team USA.
