Starting Lineups, Pitchers for San Francisco Giants vs. Houston Astros Game Wednesday
The San Francisco Giants (12-17) and Houston Astros (16-14) will round out a three-game series at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas Wednesday afternoon at 2:10 p.m. ET.
The Astros handily took game one on Monday, topping the Giants 7-3. San Francisco bounced back Tuesday with a 2-0 victory, shutting out Houston. A pair of aces will take the mound for Wednesday's rubber match.
Giants manager Gabe Kapler will send out Opening Day starting pitcher Logan Webb (1-5, 4.10 ERA) Wednesday afternoon. Webb recently signed a contract extension to remain in San Francisco. Astros star Framber Valdez (2-3, 2.54 ERA) will receive the start for the opposing side.
Two years removed from a 107-win season, the Giants are off to a slow start. A series win over the defending champions could give them a nice boost before the weekend, when they host the Milwaukee Brewers at Oracle Park Friday through Sunday.
