Starting Lineups, Pitchers for St. Louis Cardinals vs. Los Angeles Dodgers Game Sunday
The Los Angeles Dodgers (15-13) will attempt to close out a sweep of the St. Louis Cardinals (10-18) in the finale of their three-game series Sunday afternoon at 4:10 p.m. ET at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California.
The Cardinals continue to play poorly and dig themselves into a deeper hole in the National League Central. Entering play Sunday, St. Louis is 10-18, all alone in last place in the division. Picked by many to repeat as division champions, the club now ten games back of the Pittsburgh Pirates for the division lead.
Noah Syndergaard (0-3, 6.58 ERA) will try to pick up his first win as a member of the Dodgers. The former ace signed a one-year deal with Los Angeles over the winter, hoping to revitalize his career. Syndergaard allowed seven earned runs in his last start and if he continues to struggle, he could eventually fall out of the Dodgers' rotation.
Jake Woodford (1-2, 5.47 ERA) will start for the Cardinals, attempting to get his club back in the win column Sunday.
