I can't say that I was watching live, because I was watching baseball, but evidently the Tampa Bay Rays appeared in a question on Jeopardy on Monday night.

As part of the "Burgs" category, the Rays were used as part of the following clue, which Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times put out:

"The Tampa Bay Rays play their home games in this city's Tropicana Field"

Of course, the answer is St. Petersburg, where the Rays have played since their inception in 1998. You have to wonder how long that will be the case though, as the Rays have been looking to find a new spot for a stadium for years.

We've heard about the plan to move the Rays stadium to Ybor City, then we heard about the split-season plan involving both Tampa and Montreal.

So while the team is housed in St. Pete now, it doesn't mean they will be forever.

As for the Rays on the field, they are currently 31-11 on the season and in first place in the American League East. They' have the best record in baseball, although it's not all good as starter Drew Rasmussen is now on the 60-day injured list and IF Yandy Diaz is facing a groin issue.

The Rays will take on the New York Mets tonight in New York. That game will begin at 7:10 p.m. ET as Jalen Beeks starts opposite Justin Verlander.

The Mets come into the matchup at a disappointing 20-22 on the year.
