The Texas Rangers are Now Hiring For an Incredible Position in Organization
The Texas Rangers won the organization's first-ever World Series championship in 2023 by beating the Arizona Diamondbacks.
It capped a great run through the playoffs in which the Rangers beat the 99-win Rays, the 101-win Orioles and the defending champion Astros, before they beat the D'Backs to win the title.
You know what they say.... to the victor go the spoils....
Check out the newest job posting in the Rangers organization, courtesy of Front Office Sports:
A month ago, the Texas Rangers won their first World Series in franchise history.
Now, the team is looking to hire a Trophy Transport Coordinator.
Duties include: "Ensuring Championship Trophy is delivered on time and safely returned to its home at Globe Life Field."
That's right. Someone is going to be hired to just make sure the trophy gets properly to and from functions.
While maybe it sounds arrogant, it actually seems like a necessary job. That trophy is going to be paraded all throughout Texas and will maintain a rigorous travel schedule.
From the job posting itself:
Preferred qualifications:
- Depending on the type of transportation involved, relevant licenses or certifications might be required.
- A background in logistics, transportation, or a related field would be advantageous.
- Must have proven job reliability.
- Must be flexible with working long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Now, that all makes sense, but we're a little surprised to see nothing about physical strength in there. You definitely would have to be able to lift the trophy, which we're assuming is not light.
The full posting is available here. Are you the right person for the job?
