An Incredible Stat Regarding the Success of the Los Angeles Dodgers

The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday night, winning their 10th straight time. It continues their successes in the month of August.

The Los Angeles Dodgers own the month of August.

After beating the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday night, the Dodgers have won ten consecutive games. The hottest team in baseball went from simply battling for a playoff spot to 10.0 games up in the National League West in a matter of weeks.

At 73-46, the Dodgers now have the third-most wins in all of baseball, tied with the Baltimore Orioles.

August success is nothing new to Los Angeles though.

Per ESPN Stats & Info:

Dodgers in August over the last 4 seasons:

- 2023: 14-1

- 2022: 22-6

- 2021: 21-6

- 2020: 21-7

The Dodgers have won nearly 80% of their games in August over the last 4 seasons (78-20).

That's one reason why the Dodgers have been one of the best organizations in baseball over the last several years. They won the World Series in that 2020 season, which was the pandemic-shortened season. They'll be looking to do so again this year and will have to compete with the likes of the Atlanta Braves (78-42) if they want to win the National League pennant.

The Dodgers will take on the Brewers again on Thursday night. First pitch from Dodger Stadium is set for 10:10 p.m. ET as former National League Cy Young winner Corbin Burnes (MIL) pitches against newly-acquired Lance Lynn.

Burnes is 9-6 with a 3.60 ERA while Lynn is 9-9 with a 5.88 ERA.

After this, the Dodgers will host the Miami Marlins for a weekend series at Dodger Stadium.
