Toronto Blue Jays' Matt Chapman Goes Viral For Questioning His Manager in the Dugout on Friday

After the Toronto Blue Jays gave up a home run to Shohei Ohtani on Friday night, Matt Chapman voiced his displeasure to Jays manager John Schneider.

Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Matt Chapman went viral on Friday night for his questioning of manager John Schneider in the dugout.

The Blue Jays allowed a home run to Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Angels, who continued his assault of baseball history, and upon returning to the dugout, Chapman had this exchange with Schneider:

Matt Chapman to the Blue Jays manager after the Shohei Ohtani homer: “Why did we pitch to him? He’s the only ******* guy on the team that can hit”

I think at this point, most baseball fans are wondering why they pitch to Ohtani, but it's still not a great look from Chapman.

The Blue Jays ended up winning the game, 4-1, so it didn't end up mattering but it will definitely be a talking point on Saturday at the ballpark.

After the win, the Jays are 58-46 and in third place in the American League East. They also own the third and final wild card spot right now, leading the Red Sox by 1.5 games. The Angels fell to 4.0 games back of Toronto with the loss.

Ohtani is having one of the best years in baseball history. He's hitting .301 at the plate with 39 homers and 81 RBI. He's also stolen 12 bases. He's got nine wins on the year as well on the mound.

The two teams will play again on Saturday afternoon. First pitch is slated for 3:07 p.m. ET as Alek Manoah (TOR) pitches against Angels left-hander Reid Detmers.
