'TV Guide' Forgets Who the Cincinnati Reds Are
Contrary to what 'TV Guide' wants you to believe, the St. Louis Cardinals are not playing the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday night.
The Cardinals are, in fact, playing the division rival Cincinnati Reds.
'TV Guide's' Twitter account posted a graphic promoting the game, using the logo of the Red Sox instead.
Any number of things could have happened here. Maybe the person who made the graphic heard "Red" and just assumed Red Sox.... maybe the person forgot to update a graphic from a previous week, since the Red Sox have been on TBS before this season.
Either way, it's a funny gaffe that's sure to get Reds fans a little riled up. The team is going through a rebuilding stage, but they certainly don't deserve to be forgotten! The Reds are one of the proudest franchises in the sport with a rich history, they deserve the logo gotten right!
And ironically enough, further making matters hilarious? The Cardinals and Reds aren't even on TBS on Tuesday night. That is the Dodgers and the Braves, so the graphic is nearly entirely wrong!
The game between the Cardinals and Reds will begin at 6:40 p.m. ET. The Cardinals enter play at 21-28 while the Reds are 20-27.
Cincinnati won the first game of the series on Monday night in extra-innings by a score of 6-5. They overcame a 3-0 deficit to beat the division rivals. Nick Senzel had the game-winning RBI in the 10th inning on a sacrifice fly.
Adam Wainwright will pitch for St. Louis on Tuesday while Graham Ashcraft goes for Cincinnati.
