Umpire C.B. Bucknor Goes Viral For Horrible Game-Ending Missed Call

In the midst of a playoff race in the National League, the Milwaukee Brewers were hosed on a terrible game-ending call from home plate umpire C.B. Bucknor on Wednesday afternoon.
Milwaukee lost the game 5-4 to the division rival Pittsburgh Pirates and fell to 77-62 on the year. At the time of this posting, they lead the National League Central by just 1.5 games. The Chicago Cubs closed the gap by beating the San Francisco Giants.
You can see the call which ended the game here. It was tweeted out by @PitchingNinja with the caption "CB Bucknor just wanted to go home."

Not only did the call end the game, it thwarted a rally. Milwaukee had a runner on base in a one-run game as William Contreras was called out on the fastball by David Bednar, which was well outside the "K Box" that appeared on the screen.
It's not the first time this year that we've seen umpires go viral for bad calls: Angel Hernandez has been written about frequently for mistakes he's made.
In the loss, Willy Adames went 2-for-4 while Mark Canha went 2-for-3. Freddy Peralta started on the mound, tossing 5.1 innings and allowing three earned runs. He struck out four against one walk.
The Brewers will look to regroup on Friday when they travel to New York to take on the Yankees. First pitch on Friday is set for 7:05 p.m. ET as Colin Rea will get the ball for Milwaukee. The Yankees haven't announced a starter yet.
