I'm not sure what was worse, the Cleveland Guardians blowing a 3-0 lead during their home opener against the Seattle Mariners and losing 5-3, or, what happened before the game even started.

That's right. Before the game even started, the Guardians tried to do the home opener right. They brought out Ohio native and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce to throw out the first pitch before they took on the Seattle Mariners.

But sadly, Kelce delivered a terrible attempt. Couldn't he have asked his quarterback and former major league draft pick Patrick Mahomes for some pointers?

I do give Kelce some credit for two things: It was straight at least, and he attempted the pitch from the actual mound. That gives you a little bit of credibility.

For sure, the Guardians won't be asking Kelce to join their bullpen, so he's lucky he's great at his day job. The two-time Super Bowl champion is a lock for the Pro Football Hall of Fame when his playing days are done.

He had 110 catches for 1338 yards this past season and had 12 touchdowns as the Chiefs won the AFC West again and then got past the Jaguars, Bengals and Eagles to win the Super Bowl.
