The newest edition of 'The Payoff Pitch' podcast comes out on Wednesday morning, but you can get a sneak preview of what's to come a day early.

On this week's episode, Brady Farkas is joined by Jon Shestakofsky of the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.

"Shesta" is the Vice President of Communications and Education and talked with Brady about several different and interesting topics including:

1) The recent commissioning of the USS Cooperstown into the United States Navy and how the ship honors baseball's legacy and wartime heroes.

2) His trip to the World Baseball Classic this year, including trips to Taiwan and Miami.

3) How the Hall of Fame goes about obtaining and preserving artifacts, and how and when artifacts are displayed.

4) The upcoming Hall of Fame Classic, which is May 27th. The event is a showcase of former big leaguers who represent teams and play for the fans in a fun environment. Taken from the Hall of Fame's website, here are the players scheduled to participate:

Hall of Famers Bert Blyleven, Rollie Fingers, Fergie Jenkins, Jim Kaat, Jack Morris and Lee Smith will serve as coaches and managers for the teams, along with additional Hall of Famers to be announced. Players who are scheduled to appear at the 2023 Hall of Fame Classic include:
