Oakland Athletics' 2023 Regular Season Schedule
The Oakland Athletics are now less than two months away from Opening Day.
The A's will open the season at home against the Los Angeles Angels. They will then host the Cleveland Guardians for a three-game series, before traveling to Tampa Bay and Baltimore to play the Rays and the Orioles.
For the first time ever, the A's will play a series against each of the other 29 Major League Baseball teams. All 30 teams will play a series against each other, for the first time in baseball history. The hope is that it will generate more fan interest, as star players from the opposite league will appear at the city's home ballpark every other year. A's fans will get a chance to see the reigning National League champion Philadelphia Phillies play at RingCentral Coliseum, when the Phillies come to town in mid-June.
The schedule change will also benefit teams that play in hypercompetitive divisions. The American League West is expected to be relatively competitive in 2023, with the Houston Astros coming off a World Series title, the Seattle Mariners coming off their first playoff trip in 21 years, and the Los Angeles Angels and Texas Rangers each having an active offseason.
The A's are coming off their first 100-loss season since 1979. After trading away catcher Sean Murphy, the A's appear to be in a clear rebuild.
Here's a look at the A's' entire schedule for the 2023 season:
