Texas Rangers' 2023 Regular Season Schedule

The Texas Rangers are now less than two months away from Opening Day.

The Rangers will open the season at home, hosting the reigning National League champion Philadelphia Phillies. Then, the Baltimore Orioles will come to town for a three-game series, before the Rangers travel to Chicago to play the Cubs at Wrigley Field.

For the first time ever, the Rangers will play a series against each of the other 29 Major League Baseball teams. All 30 teams will play a series against each other, for the first time in baseball history. The hope is that it will generate more fan interest, as star players from the opposite league will appear at the city's home ballpark every other year. Rangers fans will get a chance to see Los Angeles Dodgers stars Freddie Freeman and Mookie Betts play, when the Dodgers come to town in mid-July.

The schedule change will also benefit teams that play in hypercompetitive divisions. The American League West is expected to be relatively competitive in 2023, with the Houston Astros coming off a World Series title, the Seattle Mariners coming off their first playoff trip in 21 years, and the Los Angeles Angels and Rangers each having an active offseason.

The Rangers are coming off a 68-win season in 2023. After beefing up their pitching rotation with the additions of Jacob deGrom, Andrew Heaney and Nathan Eovaldi, the Rangers hope to improve significantly and compete for a playoff spot in 2023.
