Boxing News: Mike Tyson's Team Shut Down Rumors of Ex-UFC Legend Super Fight
The rumor mill has been churning in recent weeks concerning "Iron" Mike Tyson's next foray into exhibition boxing.
Baseless claims have been made alleging that Tyson will fight MMA legend Fedor Emelianenko, and now rumors have it that Tyson will fight Mark Hunt in Saudi Arabia in 2024.
It was also upheld when the "Super Samoan" himself exclaimed that the fight could be "coming to fruition."
"It could all be coming to fruition, Hunt told News Corp. "And, geez, at this age? It's crazy."
Fans of Hunt and Tyson will be disappointed to know that, per The Daily Mail, Tyson's team has denied any involvement with the Kiwi fighter or his management.
Though, it's not hard to believe that Saudi Arabia could accommodate a Tyson return. The 'Riyadh Season' of sporting events backed by the Saudi Public Investment Fund has seen a multitude of high-tier boxing events, paired with exceptional promotion.
Tyson's last appearance was in an exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr. in 2020, though he has remained close to the sport by coaching Francis Ngannou against Tyson Fury in late 2023.
