ONE Championship have finally announced the long-awaited matchup between Rodtang Jitmuangnon and Superlek Kiatmoo9. Rodtang will defend his flyweight muay thai title against the surging veteran Superlek in the main event of ONE Friday Fights 34 on September 22.

ONE CEO and Chairman Chatri Sityodtong announced the matchup on Facebook on August 6. As well as this, Sityodtong announced another blockbuster fight between Tawanchai P.K. Saenchaimuaythaigym and Superbon Singha Mawynn for ONE Fight Night on October 6. Superbon will be defending his featherweight muay thai title.

Rodtang vs. Superlek - High Stakes

Rodtang vs. Superlek is one of the most heavily anticipated Muay Thai fights in ONE Championship history. This is especially the case since this matchup failed to materialize before on March 24 after Rodtang withdrew with an injury.

These two Muay Thai veterans have a combined 491 fights with 406 victories. In ONE, Rodtang maintains a 13-1 record, considering his ONE X submission loss to Demetrious Johnson. Superlek on the other hand is 11-1 in the promotion without any exhibition style bouts. Stunningly, neither fighter is older than 27.

It's about as high level as it comes for ONE Championship Muay Thai. Mark your calendars, this isn't one to be missed.
